Hi guys,

So with a little bit of paint, both literally and virtually I dressed up my DX1 a bit. It now resides in my cockpit and I love it.

I'm a little biased though since we sell the DX1 in our shop here at GoGamer.com, but as a flight-simmer I highly reccommend this product.

I'm also running a special through SimHQ for $10 off the DX1. Use coupon code "gogetgear".

You can read more about what I did here at SimHQ.com

Also, here's a couple pics.

Enjoy.

Thanks Minds Eye. Glad you like it. Where outside Salem are you? I used to live in Corvallis.

Hi Jason,

I would have to agree with Minds_Eye. Your project is certainly the best custom modification of a DX1 that we have seen! The paint finish on the pad looks great.

Thanks Scott,

For those that missed it here is my background for Pacific Fighters. Paint not included. LOL I also have a large 300 DPI version of it found here:

Hey Jason, sorry, been awhile since I've checked back. I actually live in Dallas, and work in Salem

I play PF also, but you must be a waaayyy bigger fan then me, the only buttons I use for IL2-PF are all on my Extreme Pro 3D.

Hey, come by and say howdy at PDX LAN, 17-20 FEB 06, www.pdxlan.com, and Rick, I better see you there to boot, I did not see your name in the sponser list.

Dude, I did not even catch till now that you painted the keys, that is waaayyy sexxy dude. What kinda of paint did you use? Arcylic? Oil/water base? How is it (paint) holding up to repeated use?

Hey Mind,

Well, I'd come to the event but I live in SoCal now. I lived in Corvallis when I worked for NaturalPoint. I've been back in CA since August. ;-) Oregon just wasn't for me. I dated a chick who lived in Stayton while I was there.

And yes I painted the keys. I used simple Testors hobby spray paint for the Silver, Red and Yellow and I used some Black "Hard Hat" spray paint from home depot. I then coated all the painted pieces in a clear gloss sparay to lock in the colored paint. Usage so far has not caused and problems due to the clear coat. I guess if I played 8 hours a day it may wear a bit, but for my 6-8 hours a week use its working great.

Jason,

Your setup is AMAZING! I've never seen anything like it. Loved the pics - but do you have more pics of the entire cockpit? I'd be interesting in seeing some pics that were a little more wide angle so I could get a look at the entire thing.

Thanks.
